Another thought/TOTD #18

Determinism and Religion cannot possibly co-exist.

Religion implies belief in a deity that is all powerful, omnipresent, omnipotent, all knowing, all seeing, doesn't it? A God that condemns us for our sins, but praises us for our well being. A God that decides whether we go to "Heaven" or "Hell" on Judgement Day based on the life we live.

Wait a minute.

If a God is all powerful, then would he not have the ability to create all, to see all, including the future? Are we not all fated and doomed to be "marionetted" by God? How is judgment possible? How does judgment make sense? Where is the sense in living a determined life and being judged by it?

Oh the absurdity.
