School!

Has been really cool lol!
Like, we havent been doin anythin productiev in school since it start'd again haha.

Yes. Anyway,
School hasn't been all that bad, my sleeping pattern has gone into overtime, and it's already starting to take a toll on my ... on me in general. No matter, the work always get's done in the end. It's finally hit me that there are exams coming up in midway the term, and I probably have to start being diligent in class getting the notes down.

I'll try.

I've recently started to wonder about illegally downloading music. I really do not see why people get judgmental on the topic. On a personal stance, I'm pretty circumstantial about all of this. I will only download music for the following reasons.

1.

On the premise that it takes too much of a hit out of my wallet. There's a KFC dinner's chance in a negro dinner table that I will buy an album I find a good listen if it costs anything more than $30. I absolutely refuse to buy anything that costs more than $30 for 2 / 3 CD's. When this happens, I'll just simply find links on the internet, or ask around for it to be downloaded.

2.

If it's really popular. Yep, producers and artists are getting enough money from it, a couple of thousand people downloading it aren't going to make a difference, especially once it becomes mainstream and hits the shelves in store. All the fan boys and fan girls will be rushing in to buy their copy of it, for reasons I couldn't give a rat's ass about. So sue me, so what, the difference between a couple of thousand people downloading an album as compared to buying it is the difference from the artist buying a Mercedes instead of a Porsche. Okay, you're still bathing yourself in money, get over it. Sure, if you were going to give the money to charity, I'd have no problems forking out a massive fraction of my pocket money.
Bottom line, if you're rich enough to be on TV wearing your massive designer stuff, get on with life.

3.

If the artist is a sell out. If you're selling out a genre of music, I'm more than happy to give you a nice cup of "Go to hell" and download your music. What I am speaking of is
Chris Brown to R'n'B.
Simple Plan to Rock.
Masif DJ's to EDM [electronic dance music]
Steve Hill to EDM
Nik Fish to EDM
and so forth.
Artists who don't care about the music, artists who on a whole level, can suck on my left nut. All the artists mentioned above and many more, artists who are selling out: Themselves, the music they produce, the genre's of music they're wrecking, and doing it for the money over the music they love.
Yes, you unmitigated sell-outs selling your dreck, it gives me great pleasure to tax your products and use it for my own greater good.

4.

With the economy crisis and what not, a couple bucks here and there saved is always a good thing. So I go out of my way to check the pricing of the album I want to own on the internet first, and see if I can "buy" it from the internet. If the track listing is really decent, I'll be more than happy to buy it. If not, I'll download it and save myself the original retail price buying it :).

Apart from this, I wouldn't mind buying an album if it doesn't fall into the above 4 categories. Bottom line, if I respect the artist, and like what I'm buying, then I probably won't hesitate to bust my wallet out.

P.S. This also applies for movies, games, and comic books/manga ;P.
